UNITY IN THE FOOTHILLS CHURCH IN TORRINGTON WELCOMES REV. KEITH MITCHELL AS “A COURSE IN MIRACLES” STUDY GROUP LEADER
TORRINGTON, NEW MILFORD, CT, MAY 7, 2012—The Unity in the Foothills Church in Torrington, Ct has welcomed Reverend Keith Arland Mitchell of New Milford as a leader of their weekly “A Course in Miracles” (ACIM) study group that meets at 7:00 pm Tuesday evenings. A resident of New Milford for six years, Rev. Keith Mitchell has been a student/teacher of “A Course in Miracles” for more then 20 years.
Unity in the Foothills of Trustees Member, Richard St. Laurent, extended the invitation to Rev. Mitchell to lead the study group due to what the Board describes as “Rev. Mitchell’s outwardly enthusiastic appreciation and vivid understanding of the life-guiding principles of ‘A Course in Miracles’. Our board has been deeply impressed with Rev. Mirchell’s frequent participation in workshops we have conducted at our church during the past several years and with such internationally acclaimed authors and speakers on “A Course in Miracles” as Rev. Jon Mundy, author of numerous metaphysical books and his monthly ’Miracles’ magazine.”
Rev. Keith Mitchell was ordained in October 2003 into the non-denominational Reunification Church In The Order of Melchizedek in North Carolina (http://esoterism.ro/english/reunification-church .php) through the World Light Fellowship. He accepted his ordination through the Center for Inner Light in Elizaville, New York (www.centerforinnerlight.com) and currently maintains his credentials with Universal Life Church Monastery (www.themonastery.org). For the past 20 years, he has been associated with two spirtiualis churches in Connecticut and frequently leads hands-on-healing services at the Church of Infinite Spirit in Newington, Connecticut (www.NewingtonSpiritualistChurch.org). In 1983, Rev. Mitchell graduated from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts degree in general studies with a concentration in Psychology.
Rev. Keith Mitchell and his wife, Barbara Branagan-Mitchell, an ACIM student/teacher for 18 years, will conduct a workshop on May 27, “Living Life From the Inside Out: An Introduction to ‘A Course in Miracles”, at the Church of the Infinite Spirit in Newington, CT. (www.NewingtonSpiritualistChurch.org) from 1:00-4:00 pm. Each week, they host a small study group in New Milford on Monday and Friday evenings from 7:00-8:30 pm. A note from Rosario
Unity Concert Hall was the perfect setting for our Spring Concert, "An Afternoon with Rogers and Hammerstein". As it turns out, this new show, was the most successful one both financially and artistically presented in our Concert series. It was pure entertainment for all ages. I know I will be humming these great musical songs in my head for days. I heard so many great compliments from our guests as they were leaving; and why not? Where can you enjoy such a professional presentation in a beautiful intimate setting as was provided and at such a low ticket price? Our salutes go out to Marissa, Shae, Holly and Jane for their great performances. I believe this was the biggest Church fundraiser and Community out-reach program ever.
Of course, this was made possible also by our wonderfully supporting church volunteers. I would like to thank Ethel, Kathy B., Kathy S.(and granddaughter), Karla, Rich S.L., Rev. Bill, Barbara S. and Susan's Youth Ed group for a job well done. Be sure to thank them for their efforts.
We thank our Father God for the guidance and direction and the blessing poured out upon this event!
Thank you for this opportunity to serve our Church.

Suitcases for Kids
The Suitcases for Kids luggage donation drive was a huge success. A special thank you to everyone who donated bags, suitcases & luggage. There are thousands of children in Foster Care through out the State of CT and these bags show these children that they are special, that they are loved and that they are deserving.
A huge thank you to Lisa & Janet for helping with the cleaning & organizing of the suitcases.

Name Our Bookstore Contest
The bookstore volunteers are getting lonely in the bookstore after service. We thought a "snappy" new name would attract our friends to stop by for a visit. So, we are asking everyone to participate in a contest by submitting a name and dropping it off at the bookstore/gift shop. The contest will run through March and the winner will be given a book of their choice. We Unity folks are very creative...this will be lots of fun.
Secondly, here are some New titles available at the bookstore:
